In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, LACBA is proud to spotlight the Mexican American Bar Association of Los Angeles (MABA), a LACBA Affiliate since 1972. MABA is committed to the advancement of Latinos in the legal profession and the empowerment of the Latino community through service and advocacy.
MABA does important work for the Los Angeles and California community, such as programming on important issues relating to civil rights, immigration and the diversification of the profession, such as its recent Judicial Pipeline Program, The Do’s and Don’ts of Running for Judicial Office with LASC Judges Efrain Aceves, Randolph Hammock and former LACBA Judicial Elections Evaluation Committee Chair Jerrold Abeles. LACBA’s Diversity in the Profession Section was pleased to co-sponsor this event and we look forward to more opportunities to work together on issues of importance for years to come.
