LACBA is proud to spotlight the LGBTQ+ Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and feature upcoming events.

Save the date for the following programs:

• December 13, 2024 – Swearing-in Ceremony for new LGBTQ+ Lawyers who recently passed the state bar exam followed by the association’s Annual Holiday Party.
• March 2025 – Elimination of Bias Class/ Gender Identity with Judge Dean Hansell to be held on Transgender Day of Remembrance, a program co-sponsored by LACBA’s Diversity in the Profession Section

LGBTQ+ Lawyers LA is an active organization with an annual calendar of events. Recently, LACBA’s Diversity in the Profession Section co-sponsored the Emotional Intelligence for Attorneys webinar, an interactive program that explored the link between emotional intelligence and the skills needed to successfully perform as an attorney with civility as well as gain insights into self-perception.

Since its founding in 1979, LGBTQ+ Lawyers LA has been dedicated to representing and advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and all other persons with expansive sexual and gender identities. Through education, legal advocacy, and participation in political, civic, and social activities, the association strives to make a positive impact in both the legal profession and the broader community.

As an affiliate since 1981, we are grateful for our long-term partnership with LGBTQ+ Lawyers LA and look forward to collaborating on more significant topics in the future.
