Coco Su, director of LACBA’s SmartLaw lawyer referral service, has been honored with the 2024 Cindy A. Raisch award by the American Bar Association (ABA) Standing Committee on Lawyer Referral and Information Service.
Su, pictured left with Committee Chair David G. Keyko, received the award during an October 25 luncheon at the 2024 ABA National Lawyer Referral Workshop in Rancho Mirage, California.
During her time at SmartLaw, Su implemented a flat-fee structure that gained nationwide attention. She has also generated $100+ million in fees for SmartLaw attorneys and clients. She was named SmartLaw’s director earlier this year after serving briefly as Interim Director and was previously the referral service's Business Development Manager.
LACBA is grateful to Su for her dedication to creating a more equitable legal system through innovative approaches, which have enhanced SmartLaw’s impact and sets the standard for lawyer referral services nationwide. This special award is a much-deserved testament to Su's efforts in creating a more equitable legal system.
