LACBA is proud to spotlight the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA), a LACBA Affiliate since 1987.

Organized in 1975, SCCLA is dedicated to advancing the professional growth and interests of Chinese American and Asian American lawyers, jurists, and law students in Los Angeles and Orange County; improving the Chinese American and Asian American communities’ access to legal services; and promoting the interests of Chinese American and Asian American communities.

SCCLA is currently represented on the LACBA Board of Trustees by Trustee from Affiliates Michael Fern. As an affiliated association benefit, affiliated association members have leadership opportunities by serving a two-year term on the LACBA Board of Trustees. Three trustees are elected from the affiliated associations each year.
