We are proud to share that LACBA member Justice Helen Zukin has been nominated by Governor Gavin Newsom to serve as Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeal, Second District, Division Four.

Justice Zukin has served as an Associate Justice in Division Four since 2023 and previously served as a Judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court from 2018 to 2023. A Loyola Law School graduate, she brings decades of experience in both public service and private practice.

Her nomination follows the retirement of Presiding Justice Brian Currey and is pending confirmation by the Commission on Judicial Appointments.
