Inspiring and educating students about the law and their constitutional freedoms
LACBA’s 2025 Dialogues on Freedom Program took place on November 13 and 14, bringing together classrooms across Los Angeles County for two days of meaningful civic engagement. This year, 27 teachers signed up to host sessions, and we received 77 volunteer registrations from dedicated judges and attorneys eager to give back.
Throughout the program, volunteers led thought-provoking discussions centered on constitutional principles, civic responsibility, and potential career paths in the legal field and beyond. Students explored real-world scenarios and engaged in thoughtful dialogue about the rights and responsibilities that shape American democracy.
We extend our sincere gratitude to every volunteer, teacher, and student who made this year’s program a success. Your commitment helps inspire the next generation of engaged citizens and future leaders. Stay tuned for details on next year’s Dialogues on Freedom programming.
LACBA’s Dialogues on Freedom Committee develops, promotes, and administers these classroom discussions in cooperation with the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and Teach Democracy. The program was first launched to commemorate the tragedy of September 11, 2001, and to help inspire and educate young people about the law and their constitutional freedoms.
