Dear Colleagues,
I am thrilled to step into the role as President of Counsel for Justice this year. It is an honor to serve in this role and work alongside our dedicated staff, team of volunteers, board of directors, and supporters to make a positive impact in our community.
Foremost, I want to express my gratitude to Colleen Hart, my predecessor, for her exceptional leadership during this past year, as she steered our organization and projects through the uncertainty of the pandemic. Under Colleen’s stewardship, Counsel for Justice, through a team of over 370 volunteers (comprising attorneys, law students, paralegals, staff, and interpreters), provided over 10,000 hours of legal services and support through its projects to some of the most vulnerable community members in and around Los Angeles.
As we forge ahead, I am inspired by the passion and commitment that define our organization and our projects, and I am confident that we will continue to advance Counsel for Justice’s mission and achieve remarkable outcomes that help better the lives of those in our community. I am truly excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and the positive change we will create together.
Sincerely,
Timothy B. Yoo
