Know a colleague working hard to improve justice in the legal community? A mover and shaker dedicated to making a difference? Nominate them for a Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) award. With a tradition of acknowledging excellence, LACBA is seeking nominees for its top three awards through October 31, 2023.

The LACBA Board of Trustees recently amended the LACBA awards eligibility criteria to welcome nominees outside of Los Angeles County. 

• Shattuck-Price Outstanding Lawyer Award 
  LACBA’s time-honored Outstanding Lawyer Award is dedicated to attorneys who continually go above and beyond. Recipients are role models who have spent their careers working to improve justice.
   
• Outstanding Jurist Award
  This judges-only award recognizes the distinguished careers of those who have served their communities, as well as the bench.
   
• Philip H. Lam Diversity Impact Award
  The newest award goes to those with a long history of expanding inclusion and diversity within the practice of law. Open to individuals as well as organizations and nonprofits. 

Award winners will be formally recognized at LACBA’s Installation and Awards Dinner on June 27, 2024 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. The formal celebration brings together the legal community and is attended by more than 450 guests.
