Summary

Program Description:
The California Rules of Professional Conduct for lawyers and the Model Standards of Conduct for mediators admonish us to be impartial, avoid conflicts of interest, and be unbiased. But given that we all have implicit biases, can we really adhere to these admonitions? Ms. Phyllis Pollack will explore the tensions presented by these requirements, and provide possible solutions in a one-hour discussion, presented by the ADR Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
