Notice to Membership to Vote on the Proposed Amended Bylaws
VOTING ENDED JUNE 2, 2023
Proposed amendments to the LACBA Bylaws were approved by LACBA members. The voting results were announced during the Board of Trustees meeting on June 14 and shared with the Members on June 20. See the Board Approved Resolution.
Your vote is requested to amend the Amended and Restated LACBA Bylaws.
The proposed amendments clarify and correct previous changes, implement good governance, simplify processes concerning Affiliated Association relationships, and recognize that newer lawyers may be older and thus, can benefit from the services offered by Barristers for a longer period.
The LACBA Board of Trustees recommend that you vote to adopt the proposed amendments to the Bylaws as presented for a more efficient and modern organization.

Please be aware that LACBA members entitled to vote must have been members of the Association as of April 28, 2023 pursuant to Section 14(b) of Article II of the LACBA Bylaws.
ELECTRONIC BALLOT DATES
May 17, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.
Voting Begins: LACBA Members will receive an Electronic Ballot invitation through SurveyMonkey.
June 2, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
Voting Ends: Voting Results will be announced at the Board of Trustees Meeting on June 14, and publicized to the Members on June 20.
