About The Privacy and Cybersecurity Section
Founded in 2019, the Privacy and Cybersecurity Section is one of LACBA’s newest sections and is designed to bring together a community of individuals interested in advancing data privacy and security for the Southern California legal community and beyond. Our members include attorneys from some of the largest firms in Los Angeles, solo practitioners, representatives from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, in-house counsel, and academics.

Fall Social Event
Thank you to everyone who attended our Fall 2022 social event at Perch LA in Downtown Los Angeles on October 6, 2022. The event was attended by 30 attorneys and privacy and cybersecurity professionals who enjoyed an evening of networking, cocktails, and Downtown LA views. Member Spotlight
Congratulations to Section Chair Jennie VonCannon who recently joined Crowell & Moring as a partner in the White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement and Privacy & Cybersecurity Groups in Los Angeles. Jennie is a founding member of the LACBA Privacy and Cybersecurity Section. Prior to joining private practice, Jennie served as a federal prosecutor for over a decade. Read more about it here.
