The Immigration and Nationality Law Section is one of LACBA’s largest and most active sections, with more than 600 attorney members. The Section provides education, mentorship, advocacy, and community service opportunities for lawyers practicing in one of today’s most dynamic and impactful areas of law.

We are committed to supporting immigration practitioners through continuing legal education, mentorship, policy engagement, and pro bono service. The Section provides a professional forum for attorneys to strengthen their knowledge, build networks, and contribute to fair and effective immigration practice in Los Angeles and beyond. In the Immigration and Nationality Law Section membership is only open to licensed attorneys.

What We Offer

• Continuing Legal Education – Timely programs on key immigration practice areas, including family and employment-based immigration, removal defense, asylum, and naturalization.
• Mentorship – The popular Lunch with the Experts series, offering direct guidance from experienced practitioners, as well as ongoing support through the Section’s listserves.
