CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to Stephanie Story, one of the Animal Law Section's Founding Executive Committee Members, on her appointment as a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge! Among other things, Stephanie just spearheaded "Friendsgiving", an event sponsored by IALA and co-sponsored by the Animal Law Section and several other bar organizations. Stephanie showcased the Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team (SMART Team), an elite, specially-trained unit within the City's Animal Services Department that rescues animals from dangerous situations. By asking attendees to bring an item or make a donation for the animals in our City shelters, she raised $3,500 and delivered seven large bags of toys, treats and other items to our City's shelters. Congratulations to Stephanie on her recent appointment as a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge! |
